LA Plaza Media Walkway

Creative direction of a dynamic digital installation along a public walkway at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, a cultural center in downtown Los Angeles. A content structure and storytelling templates were developed for 7 x 4 foot screens along with lush animated interstitial elements inspired by flora and fauna indigenous to Mexico and Oaxacan weavings. The interstitials were brought to life through generative graphic programming. The overall system is self-choreographing and generates storytelling in real-time so the experience for the passersby is always unique.

Creative Direction on behalf of experience design studio Apologue. Project credits: Tali Krakowsky, ecd; Beth Elliott, cd; Marissa Levin, producer; Chris Sanders, illustration & design; Penny Pehl, design; Daniel Payne, animation; Automata Studios, Visual Programming; Edwards Technologies, Inc, Technology Integration.
